    Mid-Range Kitchen Remodeling in Sacramento

    $35,000 – $65,000typical Sacramento-area estimate

Ranges reflect typical Sacramento-area projects at this tier, not a quote — final pricing is confirmed with a free in-home assessment.

If you're ready to replace the cabinets, counters, and flooring but you're not moving walls, plumbing, or your kitchen's layout, this is the tier built for you. A Mid-Range Remodel gives you a genuinely new kitchen — new cabinet boxes, new countertops, new flooring, new lighting — all installed within your existing footprint, so the sink, range, and refrigerator stay roughly where they are.

This is the right scope for a kitchen that's dated throughout, not just cosmetically, but where the layout itself still works for your household — you just want everything in it to be new.

New Cabinets, Countertops, and Flooring — Same Layout

Cabinets are the biggest line item at this tier, and this is where you have real choices. Most Mid-Range projects use semi-custom cabinetry in shaker or European-style profiles, available in a range of factory finishes — painted, stained, or two-tone. Because we're not moving the layout, cabinet installation goes faster than a full renovation, but you still get entirely new boxes, soft-close hardware, and interior storage upgrades like pull-out shelving or a dedicated trash pull-out, if you want them.

Countertops move up to quartz or granite as standard at this level, fabricated and templated by our team once cabinets are set. Backsplash tile is included and coordinated with your countertop and cabinet finish rather than treated as an afterthought.

Flooring gets replaced throughout the kitchen — luxury vinyl plank and engineered hardwood are the two most common choices, both able to handle daily kitchen traffic and moisture better than the original flooring in most Sacramento homes we work on. Lighting is upgraded too: recessed cans, under-cabinet lighting, and updated fixtures, wired into your existing electrical panel capacity. We're not relocating plumbing or gas lines at this tier, so your sink, dishwasher, and range stay in their current locations, though a range hood upgrade or vent improvement is common.

Appliances are handled either way — many homeowners keep their existing appliances and build cabinetry around them, while others use the remodel as the moment to upgrade to a new appliance package that fits the same footprint.

    • New semi-custom cabinetry throughout
    • Quartz or granite countertops
    • New flooring (LVP or engineered hardwood)
    • Updated lighting and backsplash, same plumbing/electrical footprint

    What to Expect

    Typical timeline: 4-6 weeks

A Mid-Range Remodel typically runs 4 to 6 weeks from demo to final walkthrough. Demo comes first — removing old cabinets, countertops, and flooring — followed by any minor electrical or lighting work, then cabinet installation, countertop templating and fabrication (usually 1-2 weeks, built into the schedule), flooring, backsplash, and final fixtures.

Because your kitchen is unusable for cooking during this stretch, we walk every homeowner through setting up a temporary kitchen area — usually a folding table, microwave, and mini-fridge in an adjacent room — before demo starts. Most of our Sacramento clients stay in their homes through this tier without major disruption to daily life outside the kitchen itself.

Is This Tier Right for You?

This tier is the right call if your kitchen needs more than surface updates but the layout itself isn't the problem — you're not trying to add an island, open a wall, or reroute plumbing. It's also the better choice if your cabinets have water damage, warped doors, or you simply want more storage capacity in updated boxes rather than refinished old ones.

If your cabinets and layout are genuinely fine and it's really just the countertops and backsplash bothering you, save the money and look at our Refresh tier instead — a full cabinet and floor replacement is more scope than that situation calls for. On the other end, if you've been dreaming of moving your sink to an island, knocking out a wall to the dining room, or expanding the kitchen's footprint, that requires plumbing and electrical relocation, which puts you into Full Renovation territory.

The clearest sign this tier fits: you'd be happy with your kitchen's layout for another 15-20 years, you just want everything in it to be new.
